ARTIST STATEMENT

Throughout my journey towards becoming a successful graphic designer, I have produced artwork in various types of media. I was able to create my unique work using tools like pencil, pen, chalk, card board, paper, charcoal, ink, plaster, oil paint and digital media. Through my work I try to express my creative thoughts and feelings uniquely using various techniques and styles. I want others to perceive my work differently from other artists and develop an appreciation for art. In the field of Graphic Design are high level of organization, problem solving skills, time management and file management skills are required. My work shows that I understand and can use the elements and principles of design to express my ideas effectively.
My ambitions are to immerse myself in all aspects of modern technology and create designs that grasp the interest of all people. It’s also important to me that I be able to meet the needs of the business world by being highly knowledgeable of production methods and digital media software. Professionally, I have designed CD covers, ads, posters, cards, logos, package labels, layouts, manipulate images, create web pages and make designs for clothing. I also want to work on publications, by writing and designing books for different audiences. In my career I have the reputation for exceeding people’s expectations and thinking outside of the box.
My vision is to bridge the gap between art design and other forms of communication as well like literature and mass media. In literature, visual images help emphasize the arguments writers try to convey. In mass media there is a need of people who know how to alter images, create ads and have creative ideas that would contribute to the success of businesses and society. Through my work I’ve successfully communicated information, ideas and stories to people. I feel that people gain a better understanding of things visually and I encourage people to communicate to others visually more often.
